As a mother of five, I have lived this existence. I would often find myself frowning, snapping at a co-worker or one of my kids, and conducting my days like I was carrying an enormous burden on my shoulders.

It took heightened blood pressure and witnessing the serious heart problems of a good friend to wake me up to the fact that I needed to change something.

As I looked at my friend lying in a hospital bed, my heart went out to her. How did this happen? How did she get to this state?

As I walked out of the hospital, I had a eureka moment: this could be me. I needed to flip the switch on my approach to life.

I went from negativity to positivity and began assessing everything in my life from a changed perspective.
